Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham was one of 14 players that sat during Monday's practice, though he was reportedly working on the side for what we assume was your standard soreness after the first game of the preseason -- compounded by the lack of work during the offseason, specifically hitting. No big deal.
According to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, Gresham is sitting out for the second straight practice. Though whatever is causing him to miss practice is undisclosed, we don't believe it's anything serious. However if Gresham misses more time this week we have to believe that he could be scratched for Sunday night's preseason game against the New York Jets.
According to Hobson running back Jay Finley, defensive end Frostee Rucker, running back Cedric Peerman and wide receivers Ryan Walden and Andre Caldwell are also out, giving the team only six wide receivers during Tuesday night's practice in full pads.
