A.J. Green scared Bengals fans briefly on Wednesday at camp when he left the field with a leg injury. It would be just our luck to watch the team's first-round draft pick, and the most talented receiver to wear a Bengals uniform for a long time, get hurt before the season ever begins.
However, Green returned to practice on Thursday and went through the 90 minutes of drills without limping at all. He told reporters that he was fine and sitting out of the rest of practice last week was just a precaution and that he's ready to play on Sunday night against the Jets.
"I get to go against one of the best corners in my league and I want to play my best," Green said.
Of course that corner is Darrelle Revis, who was famous for shutting Chad Ochocinco out in 2009. It will be interesting to see if Revis has Green's number just like he did Ochocinco's.
