Cincinnati Bengals With 15 Players Out Against The New York Jets

Even though he missed most of the practices this week, tight end Jermaine Gresham is active Sunday night against the New York Jets. We wondered if the team might not give Gresham the night off for rest while giving Chase Coffman a greater role to argue his placement as the team's second tight end. However the Bengals do have 15 players sitting out, including defensive lineman Carlos Dunlap and running back Jay Finley. Wide receivers Landon Cox and Ryan Whalen are also out, as is cornerback Brandon Ghee, who will miss his second preseason game this year.

Keith Rivers, Roddrick Muckelroy and Dontay Moch, cornerback Adam Jones and defensive tackle Pat Sims are obviously out with injuries either suffered during the preseason, training camp or before. Defensive tackle Lolomana Mikaele and LeRoy Vann, who signed several days ago, will also miss Sunday night's game against the Jets.

On the other hand Bengals running back Bernard Scott will make his preseason debut.
