According to Brad Johansen, the Bengals have officially reached an agreement with their left tackle, and one of the most underrated tackles in the league, Andrew Whitworth on a two-year extension worth $20 million.

This locks up Whitworth as the team's left tackle and Andy Dalton's blind-side protector until 2015. This is Whitworth's second extension. In 2008 he signed a four-year extension (which expires at the end of the 2013 season) worth $30 million. It says quite a bit about the team's feelings on Whitworth that they're willing to sign him to two thirds of that money for half as many years of service.

Hopefully this is a sign that the team will come to terms on an extension for cornerback Leon Hall soon.
