One area that the Cincinnati Bengals could improve is in the secondary, especially at safety. Reports began surfacing earlier this week that the Bengals and former Buffalo Bills safety Donte Whitner were close to an agreement. Since then talks cooled and we heard very little about any movement.
Until now.
The Cincinnati Bengals and Donte Whitner have an agreement on a two-year deal, which could be signed as soon as Thursday. Signed free agents (unrestricted, restricted and exclusive-rights free agents) will be allowed to practice for the first time Thursday night, when the new league year begins.
Whitner tweeted.

Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer confirmed it's a two-year deal.
