Bengals starting left offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth left the locker room following Sunday's 27-17 win over the Cleveland Browns with a boot on his left foot. Obviously, the more restrained individuals would be assured that it was nothing to fear, considering that big Whit played the entire game. A brown paper bags clasped against my lips while breathing doesn't suggest this blogger as one of those restrained individuals.
Though it was all for naught.
According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Whitworth is walking around just fine without the boot (with a bonus Carlos Dunlap update).
Post #bengals locker room notes: Whitworth was walking fine and not in a boot; Dunlap said he was stepped on but was OK
Defensive end Carlos Dunlap laid on the turf a few seconds after Michael Johnson picked off a Colt McCoy pass to seal the win. Whatever caused his injury appeared wide-ranging from a blow to the head to a resurfacing of a knee injury that he worked on rehabilitating over the preseason.
