The Bengals have released another player en route to cutting the roster down to 53 men. That player is cornerback Brandon Ghee.
Brandon ghee has just been released by the bengals. He is practice squad eligible
Ghee was the Bengals' third-round compensatory selection in the 2010 draft, coming out of Wake Forrest. Ghee was held out early in his rookie year because of a head injury suffered during the preseason. When he came back to the team in week five, he played mostly special teams. After a groin injury suffered against the Bills in week 10, he was placed on injured reserve.
Ghee's release leaves the Bengals with nine cornerbacks -- Leon Hall, Nate Clements, Adam Jones (PUP), Kelly Jennings, Korey Lindsey, Rico Murray, David Pender, Morgan Trent and Jonathan Wade. We predicted that the team would keep six cornerbacks in our 53-man roster prediction -- Hall, Clements, Jennings, Jones, Murray and Wade.
According to The Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy, Ghee is eligible for the practice squad.
Ghee also has PS eligibility. Second-straight year the third-round compensatory pick from the year before has been released #bengals
