Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis told reporters on Wednesday during a weekly press conference, that first-round cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick is showing remarkable improvement since the team's rookie minicamp in May. Kirkpatrick has only started practicing regularly since last week with his first full participation last Thursday.
That being said Lewis wouldn't say one way or the other if Kirkpatrick will play this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday Night.
"It's possible. I don't want to close the door to it and look like I'm fibbing."
Cincinnati's No. 17 pick this year hasn't played a single snap in the NFL yet this year, including the preseason with a knee injury.
Lewis previously remarked that it's more likely for Kirkpatrick to make his debut following the team's October 28 bye week.
