With the original starting center Kyle Cook shelved for at least a handful more weeks and replacement starting center Jeff Faine currently dealing with a hamstring, rookie center Trevor Robinson could start this weekend against the Denver Broncos. Already with a handful of snaps to his credit, replacing Faine in the second half against the Pittsburgh Steelers last weekend, Pro Football Focus' grade wasn't relatively harsh (save for an offensive hold), though Robinson told Joe Reedy with the Cincinnati Enquirer that a couple of bad plays stuck with him.

“On film I thought it looked exactly like I felt after the game: There were a couple plays where I looked and felt like a rookie, and there were a lot of plays that went well,” he said Wednesday. “The offensive line really is a matter of consistency. It’s a position where if you make that mistake it really stands out. We’re trying to really focus, especially in the run game, on making sure everybody does their job.

“It’s tough to look and see you being the one on film on those one or two plays that’s not doing their job. That’s hard for me. I think I had 25, 30 plays, something like that. But when I go home it’s those one or two bad plays that really stick in my head. So I was anxious to come back and get to work.”

With Robinson possibly starting, the interior offensive line would sport two rookies and a second-year player in Kevin Zeitler and Clint Boling. With the latter two, the production has been encouraging to say the least; both of whom rank in the top-ten among all offensive guards in the NFL, according to PFF.
