Cincinnati Bengals linebacker and defensive end Dontay Moch clearly had the up-arrow poised over his head during training camp, conquering the preseason with a team-leading 3.5 quarterback sacks. Yet the proverbial speed bumps keep swatting humility into the young man. Last year it was a foot injury and migraines.
This year it was a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substances and an undisclosed illness, which kept him out of practice this week leading to the Denver Broncos.
According to Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, that illness is the return of his migraines. Lewis also "indicated" that doctors are "trying to find proper ways to treat him."
Moch has played all of five defensive snaps in his NFL career, after being selected in the third round of the 2011 NFL draft.
