The Bengals shot themselves in the foot a couple of times when they received the ball for the second time, but that didn't stop them from overcoming their mistakes and taking a commanding 14-0 lead at home against the Oakland Raiders. After a block-in-the-back penalty on the punt return by Adam Jones, the Bengals started at their own 12-yard line.
On a third and long, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton connected with a wide open A.J. Green for a 44-yard reception to keep the drive alive. On another third down in Raiders territory, Mohamed Sanu lined up as the halfback and converted a tough first down on a rushing attempt. It wouldn't be the only time that Sanu contributed on the drive.
After a holding penalty on Jermaine Gresham, the Bengals were put in a big hole, but a ten-yard reception from Orson Charles and another huge 27-yard reception from Gresham to atone for his penalty, the Bengals were back in business. Dalton found Sanu in the corner of the end zone and the rookie came down with an amazing one-handed catch. The Bengals are in command at 14-0.
