Bengals Trevor Robinson Suffered A Hamstring Injury Against The Denver Broncos

Trevor Robinson was pulled towards the end of the first half against the Denver Broncos. After the game Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said why.

Despite having practiced throughout much of last week, working out the kinks of an aggravated hamstring, the Cincinnati Bengals elected to sit starting center Jeff Faine for rookie Trevor Robinson against the Denver Broncos. Yet as the game concluded the first half, Robinson was replaced by Faine, with both players finishing the game with an equal number of snaps.

Some may suspect that Robinson just wasn't very good -- which means a lot if Faine is replacing you.

That's not the case at all however.

During the postgame press conference on Sunday, Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis told reporters that Robinson suffered some kind of hamstring injury.

"Both of them are nursing hamstrings. Jeff has been nursing his, so we started Trevor. Trevor got one at the end of the first half and so it was better to just go back with Jeff. Jeff is in just a little better position at that point then Jeff was."

Asked to clarify if Robinson suffered an injury during the game, Lewis confirmed with a detailed-oriented explanation, saying, "Yes." Brilliant as ever, chap.
