Nugent Field Goal Ties Game at 10

The Bengals answered the Chargers touchdown with a field goal. On a 10 play 81 yard drive, the Bengals settled for a field goal. A 41 yard run by BenJarvus Green-Ellis got the Bengals into Chargers territory. The big run by the LawFirm was followed up by a 16 yard pass to A.J. Green. Andy Dalton took a shot to the end zone but Green was called for pass interference, that penalty put the ball at the San Diego 27.

The Bengals were in a tough spot but a 15 yard pass to Green and a seven yard pass to Gresham gave the Bengals a first down. On first and goal, Dalton overthrew a wide open Green in the end zone. This play came back to cost the Bengals, as Green-Ellis ran the ball on a delayed run to the 1 yard line. On third and goal from the one, Dalton was forced out of the pocket and had to throw it away. 10-10 game with nine minutes remaining.
