Cincinnati Bengals Week 13 Defensive Snap Count Against The San Diego Chargers

Breaking down the Cincinnati Bengals defensive snap distribution during the team's 20-13 win over the San Diego Chargers.

Jeff Gross

The Cincinnati Bengals featured interesting snap distribution against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

Carlos Dunlap had his most defensive snaps this year, while Robert Geathers still had a high count usually playing defensive tackle during passing situations (a trend that began a couple of weeks ago). Dan Skuta, Emmanuel Lamur and Vinny Rey didn't play on defense and Nate Clements followed up his one-snap performance against the Raiders with a one-snap performance against the Chargers. Reggie Nelson and Chris Crocker played every snap at their respective safety positions.

Cincinnati also played a consistent theme between a base 4-3 and five defensive back formation. Manny Lawson was usually the third linebacker and Adam Jones was the fifth defensive back. Beyond that there wasn't much substitution in the second and linebacker.
