Wide Receiver Options: Pierre Garcon Rejects Contract Offer From Colts And DeSean Jackson Available Through Trade

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Pierre Garcon rejected a five-year contract offer from the Colts. Though one could argue that Garcon simply wants to be paid, one could also speculate that Garcon doesn't want to play for a team hell-bent on rebuilding with a new general manager, head coach and quarterback.

Also on Friday, Schefter tweeted that the Philadelphia Eagles are listening to trade offers for wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who could be franchised by the March 5 deadline. For three years since he was drafted, Jackson was often used as the anti-Bengals front office argument because Cincinnati decided to select Simpson over Jackson in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Though Simpson finally came around last year, it's hard not to call that one a blunder for a lot of teams.

Either wide receiver could be decent fits for the Cincinnati Bengals, however it would seem to us that the cost to acquire Jackson might be far more that what most teams will be willing to give.
