According to Bryan Broaddus, a reporter with ESPN Dallas and KESN-FM (ESPN Radio), tweets that he heard free agent cornerback Terence Newman will visit with the Cincinnati Bengals in an effort to reunite with former defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer. Newman was released by Dallas soon after the start of free agency, allowing the Cowboys to save an additional $2 million in cap space.
A former fifth overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft, Newman has played his entire nine-year career with the Cowboys, playing 133 games while posting 32 career interceptions, 112 passes defensed and three touchdown returns.
Last season Newman generated an opposing quarterback rating of 88.5, allowing three touchdowns, a 62.8 completion percentage and 797 yards receiving.
One last thing on Terence Newman, I have heard that he will visit the Cincinnati Bengals to see if he can hook up with Mike Zimmer.
