With Donald Lee and Bo Scaife entering free agency, it leaves the Bengals with Jermaine Gresham and Colin Cochart as the team's only tight ends signed into the 2012 season. Now they were interested enough in Kellen Davis to invite him for a visit. However he returned to the Chicago Bears before that could take place. But their search for a tight end continues. According to Sports Director Mark Berman with KRIV-TV in Houston, the agent for Texans tight end Joel Dreessen says that the Cincinnati Bengals have contacted his client.
Agent Jeff Sperbeck says the Raiders & Bengals have contacted him about free agent TE Joel Dreessen who will visit the Saints on Sunday.
Dreessen posted 28 receptions for 353 yards receiving and six touchdowns in his sixth NFL season and fifth with the Houston Texans. Over the course of the past three seasons, Dreessen is averaging 31 receptions for 397 yards receiving and a combined 11 touchdowns receiving.
