With the 29th pick in the 2012 Cincy Jungle Mock Draft, Jason Garrison selected for the Baltimore Ravens, who earned their pick by finishing the 2011 season with an 12-4 record. They made it to the AFC Championship game, but lost to the New England Patriots, who went on to lose to the Giants in the Super Bowl.

With the No. 29 pick in the 2012 Cincy Jungle Mock Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select....

Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin

The Ravens lost Ben Grubbs in free agency and were unable to sign anybody to replace him. On top of that, veteran center Matt Birk only has a couple of seasons, if that, left in the tank and will likely be retiring soon. With the addition of Konz, the Ravens have a short-term solution at guard and a long-term solution at center.

If Joe Flacco is going to continue to lead the Ravens, he's going to need the right offensive line to keep him on his feet. Losing Grubbs was a big blow to the Ravens' offensive line and guys like David DeCastro and Cordy Glenn will likely be off the board by the time they go on the clock. Since they will need a new center in the near future, Konz' ability to play both guard and center will come in handy for the defending AFC North champions.

Joe Goodberry's Instant Analysis:

I love this pick and fit. With current center Matt Birk close to retirement and Ben Grubbs leaving via free agency, Peter Konz can start at guard as a rookie and eventually move to center. Konz comes from a run-heavy system and should contribute immediately.
