According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, former Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver Limas Sweed worked out for the Cincinnati Bengals this past Friday.

Per league source, the Bengals had formerA productive receiver for the Texas Longhorns, Limas Sneed was selected in the second-round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers despite injury concerns - a problem which has plagued his professional career as well. He missed the 2010 season with an Achilles injury and was waived prior to the 2011 season. In his three year career, Limas Sweed has only seven receptions.
Should Sweed sign, the Bengals are continuing their trend this offseason of signing unrealized talent. Already signing former first round picks Derrick Harvey and Jamaal Anderson, Cincinnati would again hope to find value in a talented, yet disregarded, player.
