UPDATE: Visit is taking place on Saturday, not Friday.

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, free agent wide receiver Jerome Simpson is visiting with the Minnesota Vikings on Friday (whether in Minnesota or Los Angeles, who knows). Simpson reportedly visited the St. Louis Rams earlier this month, a day before sentencing in a plea deal that resulted in 15 days in jail, 200 hours of community service, three years of probation and $7,500 in court fees. The league is reviewing Simpson's case, which could result in a multi-game suspension for the Bengals former second-round pick from the 2008 NFL draft.

Though Marvin Lewis has refused to close the door on Simpson's career, the Bengals are still expected to address the wide receiver position at some point during the 2012 NFL draft.

During his lone full (productive) season, Simpson posted 50 receptions for 725 yards receiving and four touchdowns within an offense that featured a rookie quarterback and rookie primer receiver opposite of him.
