North Alabama cornerback Janoris Jenkins, who was selected at No. 39 by the St. Louis Rams Friday night, appeared on SiriusXM Radio after his selection. When asked by Adam Schein about an Adam Jones comparison, with Jeff Fisher being the head coach that drafted both, Jenkins said.
"I mean, no, because I never shot up a strip club or nothing like that," Jenkins said.
Technically he was never accused or charged with discharging a weapon (only someone accused in his entourage). But whatever.
Jenkins by no means holds favorable comparison. Police were forced to use a taser on Jenkins after fighting and resisting arrest for punching a man in 2009. He was charge with misdemeanor marijuana possession that eventually led to his dismissal from the Florida Gators and many criticize him for fathering four children by three different women.
Yes. I felt the need to defend Jones, if only because he's on MY team. So there you go.
