According to multiple sources, including TigerNet.com, Clemson offensive tackle Landon Walker is headed to Cincinnati to sign a deal with the Bengals. Walker wrote to TigerNet.com saying:
"So thankful for the people that have been there and supported me throughout my football career. Very excited and blessed for the opportunity to prove myself at the next level with the (Cincinnati) Bengals!"
Walker is rated as the 35th-best offensive tackle according to ESPN's Scout Inc. An honorable mention All-ACC Selections, Pro Football Weekly scouts:
Positives:
Solid hand technician — replaces his hands. Understands angles, leverage and positioning. Mentally tough. Good worker. Solid character. Experienced, four-year starter.
Negatives:
Is not naturally big or girthy. Stiff and tightly wound. Not explosive. Struggles to adjust quickly to movement. Average anchor strength. Labors to reach the second level.
Summary:
Developmental, undersized swing tackle prospect. Was the most consistent of all Clemson offensive linemen and has a chance to fend for a roster spot.
