Aside with the obvious praise that Marvin Lewis showed in rookie wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, the Bengals head coach is, for a lack of better words, digging this group of young receivers. From Sanu, to Marvin Lewis Jones to the undrafted free agents, Lewis likes what he sees and there's a strong possibility that everyone could be setting up for a radically shifting wide receiver position this year.
Lewis said of Marvin Lewis Jones:
"To me, Marvin had a great five practices. His ability to be a returner as well will stand out. His height, and his ability to go catch and compete for the. He really tracks the ball well in the air. You see that speed paired with that size (6-2), that's big."
Lewis went on to praise the other young players, such as undrafted free agents Kashif Moore, Taveon Rogers and Justin Hilton.
"Taveon (Rogers) and Kashif (Moore) have the speed. Justin (Hilton) is going to be able to compete and do good things in training camp. All five practices as well as the two first-year guys (Armon Binns and Vidal Hazelton) did a good job. I’m excited about it. These guys are going to compete for playing time and spots and make us better."
