Mohamed Sanu is quickly becoming last year's Andrew Hawkins. Well. Not exactly. While Hawkins was an undrafted free agent, wide receiver Mohamed Sanu was drafted by the Bengals in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft. Beyond that the comparisons can be drawn. Both are capable of being slot receivers, ability to return the football in the kicking game. But much more noticeably, Hawkins and Sanu promote personalities that makes it hard not to fall in love with as fans.
You can see my point after watching SB Nation's Amy K. Nelson interview with Sanu the 2012 NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Hollywood.
Sanu was the team's ninth draft pick from the 2012 NFL draft to sign a deal, leaving defensive tackle Brandon Thompson, selected later in the third-round, as the only remaining unsigned draft pick. Thompson recently switched agents, dumping Hadley Englehard for Michael Perrett.
