One of the worst moments about waiting for something designed to explain how we're supposed to understand the ending of Mass Effect 3, is the 1.85 GB download. Staring at the big screen while ESPN has led into a baseball game between the Detroit Lions and Texas Rangers on the smaller TV is rather painful.

But it gives us an opportunity. Cincy Jungle, and most NFL sites, have been a little dull. It's not our fault necessarily (seriously). Rather it's the nerve of the NFL to go on some mini-vacation prior to training camp that unsettles us. In truth it's not that big of a deal because it allows us to breath a little before that explosive exhale accompanying the start of training camp. More importantly we're working hard and nonstop behind the scenes, developing previews, lists (not effing picture gallery articles) and there are some big things going down on a grand scale.

A bit of a preview: We'll be running contests this year that will reward readers with something we've never done before, which will be pretty awesome. OK, maybe that's more of a tease than a preview.

Things will be picking up soon and we heartily appreciate your ever-loving patience as the NFL heartbeat soon stirs and with it, our best work finally getting a chance to tan in the sun of awesome. We know it's been slow and we know the creative juices have been lacking a little. But patience at the end of the day will be rewarded and our evolving statement on the internet and within the Bengals community will take another massive step so trembling that our name will never be forgotten (and no, we didn't get credentialed yet).
