Carlos Holmes, notably with the Dayton Daily News, originally wrote that Cincinnati Bengals agreed to terms with their second third-round pick, defensive tackle Brandon Thompson out of Clemson, on Tuesday. The Bengals won't announce the deal until the signing is official, which Holmes writes is expected to happen on Wednesday.
And it did.
The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Wednesday that their final unsigned draft pick has finally signed his deal. And not a moment too soon. The Bengals are scheduled to report for training camp on Thursday (his $10 entry fee into the pep rally was presumably waived) with their first practice scheduled for Friday at 3 PM at Paul Brown Stadium.
Oh how good it feels to put the final draft pick signing in a folder, stacked among the other offseason items that won't return until next year. Now we can move onto training camp, where injury concerns grow, training camp battles excite and videos of incredible A.J. Green receptions blow our minds.
