Brandon Tate is in a battle with a long list of receivers to make the Bengal team. His attempts to become the number two receiver hit a slight snag today. According to Bengals.com writer Geoff Hobson and the Enquirer's Joe Reedy, Tate was limited in practice today. Tate went in to be checked by the trainers once practice ended. He lined up next to A.J. Green during day one of practice but did not participate much on offense during day two.
Tate also did not take kicks with the special teams and coach Darrin Simmons. Hobson points out that Tate may not have taken kicks anyway, as Simmons has seen him return kicks in the past. We will be sure to update you when more news comes out about the apparent injury. A significant injury would certainly reduce any chance that Tate has of being the starting receiver for game one in Baltimore
