Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports visited Cincinnati Tuesday to check out the youthful Bengals in their fifth day of training camp. And he came away impressed. His three main tweets, which follow, put the Bengals in a positive light, first regarding Vontaze Burfict, second regarding the offensive line, and third regarding Marvin Lewis and the team as a whole.

Burfict, by virtue of being an undrafted free agent, is in danger of not making the 53 man roster. However, very positive praise has come out of training camp so far, and La Canfora is following suit. A play maker at the linebacker position may be exactly what the Bengals need. We'll have to see how this position battle develops.

La Canfora doesn't just praise one lineman, but the whole line "all the way across". That is terrific news, especially concerning Andre Smith. Yesterday, video surfaced of him crushing Carlos Dunlap in the Oklahoma drill, and today, he is a key member of a line described as "stout". If this is writing on the wall that Smith will finally fully reach his potential, that would be a huge step forward for the Bengals offense in 2012.

See that, America! They are good people, not criminals. Now enough with this worn out, inaccurate reputation already.

Good work there, newly extended head coach Marvin Lewis.
