For the second time in as many weeks, Bengals cornerback Leon Hall was listed as questionable but a hamstring prevented him from suiting up against the Jaguars on Sunday. Nate Clements played last week against the Redskins, but suffered a first quarter injury that held him out of practice. He didn't play against the Jaguars either.
Jason Allen (thigh) and Dre Kirkpatrick (knee) were also out.
The depleted secondary roster drew such as concern that after dropping two tight ends from the 53-man roster, head coach Marvin Lewis admittedly "took a deep breath", writes Geoff Hobson with Bengals.com, but re-signed veteran Chris Crocker and promoted Chris Lewis-Harris from the practice squad in response.
Lewis did add that Hall and Clements "have a great opportunity" to return next weekend against the Miami Dolphins.
