As expected the Cincinnati Bengals placed Kyle Cook on the Injured Reserve/Recall List, allowing the team to bring Cook off IR later during the season. The move also opens a spot on the roster, which many suspected would become offensive guard Otis Hudson.
Wrong.
The Bengals announced that they signed tight end Richard Quinn. A fourth-year player drafted in the second-round of the 2009 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos, Quinn, noted for his blocking skills, has one reception for nine yards in his NFL career, which has spanned 30 games.
Quinn was released by the Broncos in 2011 through an injury settlement and signed onto Washington's 53-man roster in mid-December last year. He was released during final cuts last Friday.
The Bengals have also released long-snapper Bryce Davis from the Practice Squad.
