The San Diego Chargers are, or at least were, reportedly interested in Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer. However, as of this posting, it's Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden that will interview with the Chargers, according to Albert Breer with the NFL Network (via Pro Football Talk).
PFT writes:
Gruden joins former Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt, former Bears head coach Lovie Smith and Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley as the known candidates for the San Diego job.
Gruden spent Thursday interviewing with the Cardinals for their head coaching vacancy and told Arizona's press afterwards that he will interview with the Philadelphia Eagles next week. That interview will take place on Monday, according to the Philadelphia Eagles official website.
With this much attention, how could he possibly return to Cincinnati.
