Bengals are the 24th most popular team in the NFL

The Cincinnati Bengals just aren't very popular. But at least they're more popular than they've ever been in the past 15 years.

That according to a Harris Poll of NFL teams, which surveyed 2,577 U.S. adults online from September 18-24. The Cowboys remain at No. 1, followed by the Green Bay Packers. The Denver Broncos went from No. 11 in 2011 to No. 3 in 2013, which makes sense with Denver's parking lot shortage with all of the winnebagos and bandwagons.

As you scan down the list, you'll eventually find the Bengals listed at No. 24.

That's it. Well, according to a poll that sampled 2,577 people. At least it's better than previous years. In 2011, the Bengals ranked No. 31. In 2010, it was No. 27. In 1998, it was No. 25.

It's really not that surprising, honestly. Cincinnati is a smaller market and there's not as much tradition as there is with other NFL teams... yet. There's the caricatures that the Bengals became in '06, in which most people can't dissolve from their simplistic little minds. Plus we don't have many parking lots for bandwagons and... winnebagos (I just like saying that).
