Following a good performance shutting down Tom Brady and the New England Patriots offense on Sunday, the Bengals secondary is clearly playing at a high-level. Terence Newman is always solid and it appears that Adam Jones is slowly resolving to become a better cornerback after a horrible start this season. And they're doing this without their top cornerback.
Since suffering a hamstring during Newman's fumble return for a touchdown, cornerback Leon Hall has missed every practice over the past two weeks, forcing him to sit against the Browns and Patriots.
The Bengals may have some good news concerning Hall.
During Marvin Lewis' press conference on Monday, the head coach told reporters that Bengals cornerback Leon Hall "was close to playing" against the Patriots, but "feels good about" his chances to play against the Buffalo Bills this Sunday.
