The loss of Geno Atkins was the round-house kick to the collective stomachs Thursday night. His immobilization on the turf with under five minutes remaining in the second quarter in Miami was as if he had known something happened, but completely unfamiliar with how to react. How should he move, should he move, what's going on. We mimicked Geno's reaction with a feeling of helplessness and dread.
Eventually it was learned that Atkins tore his ACL and will be out for the rest of the season. Atkins thanks everyone for the support and vows to quickly return.
A heartfelt "THANK YOU "for all your Prayers, well wishes and support. I am doing great and in good spirits in spite of the obvious news.
