Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL this week. On Thursday, he tweeted that the procedure was successful.

Prior to his injury during a Thursday Night Football game against the Miami Dolphins, Atkins led the team with six quarterback sacks, including an early sack over Richie Igcognito against Miami.
Barring any setbacks, it's believed that Atkins should be ready for training camp next year.
