All-Pro no-show Rice still dangerous
Next to Ben Roethlisberger, no one has been a bigger pain in the Bengals' side than Ray Rice. Since entering the league in 2008, the Ravens running back is averaging 105.4 yards per scrimmage when facing Cincinnati and has seven rushing touchdowns in the past five games.

The Walkthrough: Locker Room Behavior Extras
The hot national sports topic of the day doesn’t always infiltrate the Bengals locker room which tends to be an entity in and of itself at times, but that wasn’t the case yesterday. Week 9 DVOA Ratings
So, which team has the best defense in the NFL this year? The Kansas City Chiefs have allowed just 12.3 points per game, the best figure in the league. The Houston Texans, as crazy as it sounds, are leading the league with just 273.5 yards allowed per game. Cleveland actually leads the league with just 4.5 yards allowed per play. And a lot of fans would just forget about which teams lead in these various categories and instead go with the defense with the strongest track record of dominance over the last season and a half, the Seattle Seahawks.

The weakest players on NFL's best teams (ESPN In$ider)
At times I feel sorry for Gresham. The team clearly thinks highly of him and it shows by how they use him going one-on-one with defensive ends in the run game. Unfortunately, despite his pedigree as a former first-round pick, he's just not up to it and is our lowest-ranked tight end on the year. Despite their offensive line being among the NFL's best, the Bengals are being weighed down by Gresham, who has been flagged for eight penalties (including one that took back a touchdown), been beaten for 13 tackles for short gains or worse in the run game and has the eighth-worst pass blocking efficiency score of all tight ends. He's fun to watch with the ball in hand, as evidenced by forcing six missed tackles, but as a primary blocking tight end, he's a mistake waiting to happen.

Clutch Encounters: Week 9
Did you forget Halloween when Andy Dalton turned into a pumpkin with four turnovers and suffered the third walk-off safety in NFL history? It was a rough night for the Bengals, who lost Geno Atkins (torn ACL) for the season. Dalton's receivers did not do him many favors with their mistakes. A game-tying touchdown pass in the third quarter was taken away on a holding penalty by Jermaine Gresham. Instead, Dalton threw a pick-six and the Bengals had a 17-3 deficit.
