Cincinnati Bengals offensive guard Kevin Zeitler practiced on Wednesday, his third straight session while recovering from a foot injury that he suffered last month against the Baltimore Ravens. It's believed that he could have played Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, but the success and reliability of Mike Pollak allowed Cincinnati to keep their starting right guard grounded until he was fully recovered.
In the meantime, and as expected, cornerback Terence Newman sat while he's recovering from an MCL sprain. Newman is expected to miss anywhere from 1-3 week but the most likely scenario is that he'll be out until the postseason. With George Iloka officially off concussion protocols, he was eligible to practice -- and considering no beat writers attending the first 30 minutes of practice mentioned anything, we'll awesome that he was at least a limited participant.
The team's official injury and practice report will be released later Wednesday afternoon.
