When Bengals punter Kevin Huber was illegally crushed during Cincinnati's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the question wasn't if the NFL would discipline linebacker Terence Garvin -- it was how much would be fined for an illegal hit that fractured Huber's jaw and cracked a vertebrae in his neck.

According WLWT's Artrell Hawkins, Garvin will be fined $25,000 for the hit. Joe Reedy with the Cincinnati Enquirer confirmed the fine. Garvin and Huber hasn't spoken yet, but the rookie linebacker eventually plans to.

"I'll probably say something to him, let him know I'm praying for him and hope he gets healthy," Garvin told reporters. "I fell down on the play and I got up and saw [Brown] coming towards me so I was like, 'Oh, I've got to try and help him break on this play'. I wasn't out there trying to be vicious. When you're in the game, you're really just trying to make a play and help your team out."

Huber is scheduled to have surgery on Friday with a six-week recovery process. He's expected to make a full recovery by training camp.
