Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick didn't have the greatest start against the Pittsburgh Steelers (nor a particularly great middle or ending either). On the first play from scrimmage, Kirkpatrick gripped the face mask of running back Le'Veon Bell on a screen.
He was flagged 15 yards, moving Pittsburgh from their own 25 to the 40-yard line.
The NFL announced on Friday that Kirkpatrick had been fined $7,875 for the unnecessary roughness penalty.

Similarly, it was reported earlier this week that Steelers linebacker Terence Garvin will be fined $25,000 for his illegal hit on Kevin Huber, which sent the punt to the Injured Reserve list with a fractured jaw and cracked vertebrae. After holding a five-man tryout, the team signed former Bills punter Shawn Powell on Tuesday.
