The Cleveland Browns are clearly the most active in lining up candidates for their head coach vacancy. They've already requested permission to interview Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. Many reports have the Browns being interested in Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase and now the Browns are looking to interview New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
#Browns are pushing to interview #Patriots OC Josh McDaniels, per source. First opportunity would be Jan. 5. Nothing firm set up yet.

Obviously the three coaches being mentioned are coordinators on teams in the playoffs, but with a bye week. Those coaches can interview on Jan. 5. Coaches on playoff teams that play during Wild Card weekend will be allowed to interview starting on Jan. 12.
