A few days ago I posed the question of how you would use a time machine if you were given these simple rules: you had to use it to bring a Bengals player from the past to the present to play in the 2013 season and you can choose only one player.
There were several great ideas of which players you would like to have back and several different theories. Do you want to bring back a player based on need or bring back a player based on pure skill and talent?
Many of you thought bringing a running back from the past would be a good idea.
Amas85 believes it's cut and dry and former Bengals running back Corey Dillon is the answer.
COREY DILLION
Easy question.... and not really debatable lol
While Dillon may be one of the most talented backs to make his way through Cincinnati, there were others that felt a different running back from the Bengals past would fit better into the current team's system. That back being James Brooks.

Dillon is not a part of any committee. Brooks would complement BJGE perfectly.
Brooks would make sense as well, especially if the Bengals plan to use him as a complement to BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Watching BJGE and Dillon together on the same team just wouldn't make any sense.
Then there were those of you who liked the idea of bringing back a defensive player. Even though the defensive line is deep and talented, Mighty Ranger liked the idea of watching Geno Atkins and Tim Krumrie terrorize offenses together for the upcoming season. He also liked Kenny "The Rattler" Riley and, like many others, Ken Anderson.
Krumrie
Can you imagine Geon and Krumrie in the middle of the line? That, or given how much Zim likes his corners, the Rattler - Kenny Riley.
Anderson would be a slam dunk, though - with him on this team, we'd be a shoo-in for the playoffs.
Speaking of quarterbacks, while many believed that Anderson would be the best person to bring back, despite the fact that Andy Dalton has been successful in each of his first two seasons, some of you liked the idea of bringing former first-round pick Greg Cook back to the future, in his pre shoulder injury days.

Nothing against Andy, but
Greg Cook. I'd love to see what a healthy Greg Cook could accomplish with AJ Green Jones Gresham Hawkins and Sanu. That would just be unfair to the rest of the NFL.
Honestly, any of these players and any of the others that you guys mentioned would help the Bengals.
What made this thread even more awesome, though, was the mention of some of the greatest TV shows of all time.
Indesignkat decided to use his time-traveling divice to go back in time and change the future of television, making it a better world for all of us.
non-serious
given the magic DeLorean I'd go about 12 years back with a vise, a car battery, jumper cables, and a couple 6" steel rods to find the guy responsible for canceling Firefly and spend some quality time explaining the pros and cons of his potential broadcast choices and how they relate to his genital health.
If you don't know anything about Firefly, you need to find your closes friend with NetFlix, commandeer their television and watch every episode of the show at least 16 times. Then you need to watch the movie Serenity at least six times. While you're at it, check out Farscape.
You can thank me later.
