Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis was a guest of honor Thursday after being awarded the Idaho State Alumni of the Year in 2012 by university president Arthur Vaila.
Due to his commitment with Cincinnati, Lewis was unable to accept the award until this week, where he spent accepting the award and speaking with the Idaho State football team, where he played linebacker and even became a three-time All Big Sky Conference selection.
After hanging up his cleats, Lewis began his coaching career as a graduate assistant in 1981.
