NFL Combine 2013: Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland Not Closing The Door on Reggie Bush

Reggie Bush has been a long-standing target for many Bengals fans since the offseason kicked.

USA TODAY Sports

The Cincinnati Bengals have need to inject some productive talent into the team's running back position -- and by injection, we mean with a needle the size of a man's fist. Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush has been somewhat the favorite in free agency, though one has to wonder how much of a decline the once-exceptionally talented running back has undergone.

That being said, don't count Miami out of the Reggie Bush sweepstakes when free agency kicks off next month. Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland kept that door open, albeit slightly.

"Certainly would," when asked if Reggie Bush would have an opportunity to return. "You’d love to have his skillset on the football team. Reggie has a unique set of skillsets, he’s been a receiver, a primary running back, I definitely see a role for that type of skill set. We’ll just have to see how things go, we’ve got a few more days of talking to our own guys and we’ll see how things go."
