Though the general feeling is that Andre Smith will return once the player and team become slightly more agreeable on monetary issues, taking a more moderate approach like the United States government (someone chucked, we know it), free agent offensive tackle Eric Winston remains unemployed on a free agency market that was largely driven by offensive linemen.
According to Bowen with the Philadelphia Daily News, the Philadelphia Eagles have recently placed a call to Winston's agent.
OT Eric Winston is still out there on the FA market and I'm told the Eagles, who had shown early interest, recently checked back in w/agent.

We bring this up because ESPN's Dan Graziano, who runs the NFC East blog, wrote that the Eagles "will check in on Andre Smith" over two weeks ago. Nothing came of it and Cincinnati remains the only team negotiating with Smith that we know of.
