Free agent running back Ahmad Bradshaw departed Pittsburgh on Thursday without a contract, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The former New York Giants running back may return however, with Pittsburgh's sustained interest though hoping for progress regarding Bradshaw's surgically repaired foot.
RB Ahmad Bradshaw will be visiting Steelers again in a few weeks to check on rehab progress from foot injury. Pittsburgh still interested.

Bradshaw underwent surgery on his right foot prior to being released by the New York Giants in early February. He only recently had his boot removed, feeling healthy enough to make his first visit. Along with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers have previously expressed interest.
After Bradshaw, the list of available running backs weakens with veterans and injury-prone names like Michael Turner, Peyton Hillis, Felix Jones, Cedric Benson, Rashad Jennings, Bad Knee Beanie Wells and Ryan Grant, to name a few.
