Bengals Showing "Considerable Interest" In Michigan State Running Back Le'Veon Bell

It's obvious that the Cincinnati Bengals need a running back. They're traveling the country, observing college Pro Days, especially high profile prospects. Earlier this week head coach Marvin Lewis was described as having particular interest in North Carolina's Giovani Bernard. Obviously he won't be the only running back with Lewis' obsessive eye.

According to Bo Machionte with College2Pro.com, the Bengals have also shown "considerable interest" in Michigan State running Le'Veon Bell.

ESPN's draft page ranks Bell as the No. 4 prospect at running back and No. 84 prospect overall. Within the analysis, they suggest "above average" lateral mobility and body control."

Makes crisp jump cuts and can bounce runs outside after starting inside. Makes first defender miss more times than not. Makes it tough for defenders to get a clean shot on him when he gets into space. Doesn't have the second gear to run away from pursuit and can get chased down from behind. Initial quickness appears average but just average on film.

Mocking the Draft ranks Bell, who generated nearly 1,800 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns last year with the Spartans, 12th among all running back prospects. Our resident draft expert Joe Goodberry ranks Bell No. 13.
