Well it took some time, but free agent cornerback Terence Newman has decided on his team.
After much time and thought, I'm heading back to Cincy. And for those of you who think it was about money, the Raiders offered more.

We had originally suspected that the delayed decision boiled down to two things: The Raiders offered more years/money while the Bengals offered one last shot for a championship. Though he gives a ton of credit to Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, adding another advantage Cincinnati had over Oakland.
I came in with Mike Zimmer and feel its only right that I leave as him coaching me.Thanks to Raiders Nation for showing me such love

According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the deal is reportedly worth $5 million over two years, with $3 million in the first year.
Newman fills out the first four cornerbacks on the depth chart, starting with Leon Hall, Dre Kirkpatrick, Adam Jones and now Newman. The fifth (and maybe six) could setup an interesting training camp battle between Shaun Prater, Jason Allen and Brandon Ghee.
