NFL Draft 2013: Final First-Round Mock Draft

After four months of draft preparations, we survived mock draft season and the real deal is finally here. In my final mock, I decided to include trades because I think boards will be scattered and values will be different with each team; we could see more than ten trades on Thursday alone. I have three Quarterbacks going round one, and Geno Smith isn’t the first to go.

20. *TRADE (CHI)* - Atlanta Falcons - Datone Jones, DE, UCLA

21. Cincinnati Bengals - Johnathan Cyprien, S, FIU

I go with Johnathan Cyprien here because the Bengals usually address their biggest need early in the draft and this year that is safety. Cyprien and Vaccaro are the only two Tier One safeties in this draft and there’s a decent gap to the next four prospects of Swearinger, Elam, Reid and Rambo. The only hang-up I have with this pick is the Bengals history of drafting from big schools. If they continue that trend, I think Reid fits what they’re looking for. Although I think that would be a mistake to be that shortsighted. I have them taking the superior prospect. Cyprien can play in the box and deep zone. He’s a well-rounded safety that plays with unmatched aggression. He would allow the Bengals full flexibility in the secondary when interchanging safeties.

22. St. Louis Rams - DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
23. *TRADE (MIN)* San Francisco 49ers - Jesse Williams, DL, Alabama
