2013 NFL Draft: Miami Dolphins Select Oregon Defensive End Dion Jordan

With the number three pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins have selected Oregon defensive end Dion Jordan. The pick originally belonged to the Oakland Raiders, who traded out of their spot for Miami's first-round pick and one of their two second-rounders, the 42nd pick. Speculation was heavy that the Dolphins would select Oklahoma tackle Lane Johnson, who ran a ridiculous sub-4.8 40-yard dash at the combine, but the Dolphins shocked everyone by selecting Jordan.

The move means that the potential trade with the Chiefs for tackle Brandon Albert is still alive. If so, the Chiefs will probably receive the Dolphins' remaining second-round pick in return for the veteran player. Meanwhile, the Dolphins now have one of the draft's most explosive edge rushers.
