With the number eleven pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the San Diego Chargers have selected Alabama tackle D.J. Fluker. The Chargers had a definite need at offensive tackle and were able to snag the highest rated right tackle at the eleven spot, making quarterback Phillip Rivers a very happy man. Fluker is an absolute mountain of a man with extremely long arms, a combination that is ideal for an anchoring right tackle.
With the selection of Fluker, the run on offensive linemen continues. So far, six of the top eleven picks have been offensive linemen, illustrating both their importance in today's pass-happy league and the overall dearth of talent in the draft's top tier of skill players.
